On April 16th 2016, the F. I. E. performs its first seventy years of the foundation, even if its history started well 137 years ago.
The F. I. E. ” Federazione Italiana Escursionismo” that is the natural heir to the “Federation Prealpina for signs on paths , was born around 1880, and remained in this form until 1927, the year in which takes on the appearance of F. I. E. , dissolved compulsorily by the fascist regime some decades later.
The F.I.E. was born on the sixteenth of April, 1946 in Genoa.
